Bint A.Shakoor's Background & Education

Welcome to As-Saajidoon, a platform founded by Bint A. Shakoor, a student of Islamic knowledge passionate about spreading the authentic teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. With a strong academic background — including a B.A. and M.A. in Islamic Studies, a Full Qur’an Ijāzah, and an Arabic Language Course — she aims to make Islamic learning accessible, reliable, and faith-nourishing. Through As-Saajidoon, she continues her mission to inspire hearts toward understanding the Qur’an, living by the Sunnah, and strengthening the connection with Allah (SWT).

Bint A. Shakoor has pursued a comprehensive path in Islamic studies to strengthen her knowledge and teaching. She began with an Arabic Language Course in 2013, providing her with a solid foundation in the Qur’an’s original language. She then earned her Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies (B.A.) in 2018, followed by a Full Qur’an Ijāzah Course in 2019, gaining certification in proper recitation and transmission of the Qur’an. She completed her Master of Arts in Islamic Studies (M.A.) in 2020, further expanding her understanding of the Deen.

She has been teaching at Understand Qur’an Academy (UQA) since 2015, continuing throughout and after her studies, and remains actively involved there. Additionally, she taught at IIC Mumbai from 2019 until June 2025, sharing her knowledge and guiding students toward a deeper understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
